White Sheet Cake
1 cup of butter
1 cup water
1 cup all pupose flour
1 cup sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup sour cream
1 tsp. almond extract
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
In a large saucepan, bring the butter and water to a boil. Remove from the heat and stir in flour, sugar, eggs, sour cream, almond extract, salt and baking powder until smooth. Pour into a greased 15 x 10 baking pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 20-22 minutes or until the cake is golden brown and tests done. Cool for 20 minutes. Spead frosting over the warm cake. Serves 16 - 20 people
Frosting:
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup of milk
4 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1.2 tesp. almond extract
Sprinkles or pecans - optional
In a saucepan, combine the butter and milk and bring to a boil. Remove from the heat and stir in the sugar and almond extract; mix well. Pour over the warm cake and spread evenly. If you choose to use sprinkles or pecans; sprinkle while icing is still warm.




Texas Chocolate Sheet Cake
1 stick of butter or margarine
1/2 cup of Crisco
4 TBSP unsweetened cocoa
1 cup water
2 cups flour
1/2 cup buttermilk
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
In a sauce pan, melt butter, Crisco, cocoa,and water. Bring to a boil. Pour
over the other ingredients that have been mixed together. Mix well and pour into a greased 16 x11 pan. Bake 20 minutes at 375 degrees.
Icing: 1 stick butter, 4 TBSP cocoa, 6 TBSP. milk, 1 tsp. vanilla, 1 lb. powdered sugar, 1 cups of pecans. Five minutes before the cake is done, in a saucepan melt butter, cocoa and milk. Bring to a boil. Add sugar, vanilla, and pecans. Frost while cake is hot. This cake will feed a large crowd. 16-20 people.


Cranberry Apple Tart
1 Pillsbury refrigerated pie crust, soften as directed
4 peeled and thinly sliced Granny Smith Apples
1 can Whole Cranberry Sauce
1Tbsp. Sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cinnamon
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Remove pie crust from the pouch and place on a baking stone or cookie sheet.

 In a medium sized bowl combine the apples, cranberry sauce, vanilla, sugar, and cinnamon. Spoon the apple mixture onto the center of the crust, speading within 2 inches of the edge. Fold the edge over the filling to form a 2 inch border, pleating the crust as necessary. Brush the edge with water and sprinkle with a little more sugar.


Bake for 30 minutes or until the crust is golden brown. Cool and serve with fresh whipped cream.


Cool Jello Layers
Stir 3 cups of boiling water into gelatin in a bowl until dissolved. Add 1 tub frozen COOL WHIP. Stir with a whisk until dissolved and mixture is blended. Pour gelatin into see thru cups. Refrigerate at least 2 hours or until set.  Add a dollop of  COOL WHIP



  
Best Ever Buttermilk Pie

1 ½ . Sugar
½ C Unsalted Butter (melted & cooled)
3 heaping T flour
3 eggs, beaten
1 C. Buttermilk
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 (9in) pie Crust

Preheat oven to 350* Combine all ingredients into a bowl. Pour into an unbaked pie shell. Bake at 40 –50 minutes until pie is set. Serve warm or cold.
